He is Grandfather Gregory's great-uncle. He was a fisherman and worked with his younger brother, Nicholas, on his father's fishing kaiki. He took active part in the Greek Revolution, and on November 30, 1822, participated in the siege and conquest of the castle of Palamidi, at Nafplio, Peloponese, Greece.
